In 2015, the Mittelrhein-Museum was certified accessible by ‚Rheinland-Pfalz Tourismus GmbH, Projektteam Barrierefreies Rheinland-Pfalz‘ according to the following categories: barrier-free for people with a walking disability and wheelchair users; partially barrier-free for visually disabled people.footer_logo_1

A barrier-free Museum
The staff of the Mittelrhein-Museum would like to offer every single visitor – disabled or not – an optimal visit in this museum. This information as well as special concessions are designed to offer you a barrier-free and exciting visit. We are looking forward to having you as a visitor!
Admission price:
€ 6,00 / severely disabled € 4,00

Admission free to companions of severely disabled persons with a handicapped ID.
Charges of guided tours, classes and workshops are to be discussed with the educational staff. Guided tours are free of charge for companions of severely disabled persons.

How to find us
The museum is located in the cultural building at the central square (‚Zentralplatz‘). You can reach the central square by taking nearly every bus line from the central railway station. http://www.forum-confluentes.de/index.php?id=12

Parking
You will find disabled parking spaces in the ‚Forum Mittelrhein‘ car park (the entrance is located on Luisenstrasse) as well as in the ‚Schaengel Center‘ on Clemensstrasse (the entrance is located on Gymnasialstrasse).

Entrance
The museum entrance is at ground level. It is accessible without stairs and suitable for wheelchairs.

Lift
The exhibitions are on the first floor and on the basement floor. All museum floors can be reached via lift and access to all exhibitions is ensured.

Toilets
A wheelchair accessible toilet is located in the first floor in the exhibition as well as in the basement of the cultural building.

Seating
There is comfortable seating furniture in the exhibition rooms and portable folding chairs for free lending.

Lockers
In the foyer of the museum, as well as in the basement of the cultural building, you can find lockers for your valuables.

Inside the museum
Guide dogs and required pharmaceuticals are allowed inside the exhibition. The labelling in the exhibition is not in Braille.
